What is HispanicMPR.com/B2B?

 

It is a new section within HispanicMPR.com for business
subscribers to communicate with each other directly. On the B2B pages you the
subscriber can share your business and Hispanic market news, information,
opinion and requests directly with each other and our audience. In fact, you
are invited to write and post directly onto the website.

 

Who is the audience of the B2B section?

 

We expect it is similar to that of HispanicMPR.com,
middle to senior executives with interest in general business and Hispanic
market topics.

 

How much does I cost to visit the site, register, and
post?

 

There is no cost. Nothing, nada.

 

How do I subscribe?

Create a profile

The system will email you instructions to confirm your request

Use the information in the email you receive to complete your
registration

If you are not a subscriber, you cannot add new content, pictures
or update status.

 

I don’t see an account menu, what is wrong?

You are not currently signed into the site. Please either
sign in using your account, or create a new account as described above.

 

Should I create a profile in my name or my company name?

 

It's up to you. Most people do business with other people. In
general, and especially among executives, you are most likely to make contacts
with other people if you identify your name and what you do. Plus, your profile
also allows you to list your company name and information.

 

How do I create a post?

 

Select the groups that interest you (you will receive email
notification when there are updates on those topics which you can modify
anytime)

Select "Add a New Post"

Type in title

Type in post content

Attach a photo (of the chart)

Select the Group(s) of the topic

Preview

When you're satisfied with the post Save

Subscribers to that group will be notified by email

 

Who can post on B2B?

 

Registered subscribers can post. To post to a Group you must be a member of the group.

 

Do I have to post?

 

No, although if you have something to share with our B2B community you are invited to post. You are also welcome to read posts, comment, invite others to register and post and share your status.

 

Can I include pictures?

 

Yes, you can include a photo of up to 500 pixels (wide) with a
post. It is also possible to add a photo to your profile.

 

I want to post in a specific category. How do I do it?

 

To post in any category or Group you must be a member of the Group. Once you join the group or groups you like, see the instructions above on how to create a post.

 

What is the difference between a comment and a post?

 

Comments are designed to be feedback on an existing post and appear at the bottom of an existing post. Posts are new content and allow one photo of up to 500 pixels in width. If you submit a larger photo, the system will shrink it down to 500 pixels.

 

What is a status update?

 

It's what a subscriber is doing at that moment, or a catch phrase, or whatever the user wants to put in the field. It is like having your last tweet displayed on your profile.

 

How do I update my status?

 

Click on “My Account” from the menu on the left.

Look for the Status tab

Type up to 140 characters

Click on “Share”

Your status will be posted for everyone to see

If others come to your profile, they can leave a status message for you

 

How do I communicate with other users?

 

Click on “User List” from the menu on the left

Click on the user name of the person you want to contact

Type in the Status line

Click on “Share”

Remember that these status messages are not private

 

Can other subscribers see my email address?

 

No. Other users cannot see your email address. The only way for
them to get it is if you post it or share it with them.

 

Can I contact another subscriber?

 

You can contact other subscribers through the website using the
Status message. You can also call them if they shared their phone number in
their profile.

 

Can I delete my profile?

 

Click on “My Account” from the menu on the left.

Click on “Edit” from the tabs

Scroll down to the bottom

Click on “Delete Account”

You will have a choice of deleting all the content you added to
the site or just disabling your id. Make your choice and confirm to remove your
id. If your id is disabled, an administrator will have to enable it for you.

 

How do I add a photo to my profile?

 

Click on “My Account” from the menu on the left.

Click on “Edit” from the tabs

Scroll down until you see “Upload Picture”

Follow the prompts

 

How do I delete my photo from my profile?

 

Click on “My Account” from the menu on the left.

Click on “Edit” from the tabs

Scroll down until you see your picture

Click on “Delete Picture”

Scroll down to the bottom and click on “Save”

 

How can I change my username?

 

Click on “My Account” from the menu on the left.

Click on “Edit” from the tabs

Click on “Username”

Delete the existing username and type your new username

Scroll down to the bottom of the page

Click on “Save”

How do I invite a friend?

If you want to personalize the message, add your text to the bottom box.

What are the rules for the website?

 

This is your community. If you like the forum treated it with the respect you would like to see when you visit it. If you see someone abusing their account let us know or volunteer to help monitor the pages to keep inappropriate or rude behavior out. What do I do if I see inappropriate content?

How do I unsubscribe?

If you sign up to receive HispanicMPR.com/B2B email updates and decide you no longer wish to receive them you have to enter the website with your username and password, go to your profile and cancel your email subscription.

Can I include a video with my post?

 

At this time we are unable to accept video (or audio) files.

 

What is the business model for B2B? How can you make money if you don't charge for subscriptions or posts?

 

The idea is to provide a place where we can all communicate about
business issues. Initially we will cover the set up costs. We hope a few ads
(we appreciate any ads you would like to place) will help keep it running in
the long term.

 

Who is behind B2B?

 

Elena del Valle, editor and host of HispanicMPR.com, came up with
the idea. A small South Florida based company provides the infrastructure and
support for the site.

 

What can I do to help? Do you need volunteers?

 

Absolutely! We can use all the help we can get.

 

You can help us make the website a success in three main ways:

 

Tell your colleagues, clients, and professional friends about it
so they join in the conversation and make it interesting.

The website is designed to run mostly on its own. We trust users will value the forum and keep it nice since it's for their own benefit. We know once the word spreads there are bound to be abusers and can use all the help we can get to identify abuse.

If you have practical, easy-to-implement ideas for ways to improve B2B and subscribers' experience share them with us. We will review them with interest and care.
