Genesis Community Health, a non-profit health clinic dedicated to serving residents of all economic levels, will help area families take preventative steps to managing their health at an upcoming health fair.
Miami women’s activists are adding their voices to a national and international movement to stop violence against women and girls. The recently launched, Miami Chapter of the United States National Committee for United Nations Women, will host its first 5k walk to stop violence against women and girls on March 9, 2013 (March is Women’s History Month and March 8th is International Women’s Day). The walk will take place at 11 a.m. at the Women’s Park in Sweetwater, 10251 W. Flagler Street, Miami, FL 33174.
