Bromley Communications Named 2011 ARF David Ogilvy Award Finalist
Agency Places for Progresso Soups in the Shopper Marketing Category
SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 7, 2011) – Bromley Communications, LLC was named a finalist in the ARF David Ogilvy Awards for its work with the Progresso soup brand in the Shopper Marketing category. The ARF David Ogilvy Awards for Excellence in Advertising Research celebrate the extraordinary and/or creative use of research in the advertising development processes of research firms, advertising agencies, and advertisers.
“This is one of the greatest honors in the research industry,” said Bromley’s VP and Director of Strategic Planning, Paul Bryan. “This award speaks directly to our agency's creativity and superior use of consumer understanding to transform facts and knowledge into inspiration. The ARF celebrates and validates that skill.”
The agency’s Tasting is Believing campaign aimed to dispel the notion that homemade taste only comes from scratch. Creative executions for television, print and in-store, emphasized the pull power of Progresso’s great taste and unique experience. Once you taste Progresso’s flavorful broth and abundance of hearty vegetables, meat, and pasta, you will find it hard to believe that this soup is anything other than homemade.
This marks the fifth time in five years that Bromley is named a finalist for the Ogilvy award, and the third time the San Antonio-based marketing firm group was recognized for total market (vs. multicultural) categories. Last year Bromley Communications won two silver awards, one for Reynold’s Wrap and another for Progresso. The prior year, the agency earned two gold ARF awards within the Total Market Health Care and Multicultural Consumer categories for campaigns created for UnitedHealthcare and General Mills’ Honey Nut Cheerios.
The ARF David Ogilvy Awards will be presented March 22 in New York City by Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO, WPP Group and recognize the past 75 years in advertising and what the next 75 years might be like for the marketing services industries, including the power of research-driven work and the need to balance the left and right brain.
