SPADY MUSEUM: 100+ Supporters Attend Juneteenth Celebration at Crane's BeachHouse Hotel

Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel & Tiki Bar Hosts 100+ Supporters of the Spady Museum at 3rd Annual JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION

Cathy Balestriere, general manager of Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel & Tiki Bar, said that more than 100 supporters of the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum attended the recent JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION at the popular, Key West-style boutique hotel in Delray Beach. The THIRD THURSDAY FUN-RAISER at Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel raised more than $6,100 to support the museum’s public offerings and programming.

Co-sponsored by Waste Management and the Arts Radio Network, the third annual Juneteenth Celebration honored the oldest known commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.

“Juneteenth was supported with a wide range of raffle donations, valued at more than $12,100, from throughout Delray Beach and Palm Beach County,” said Juneteenth Committee Chair and Spady Board Member Margie Walden. “We want to thank everyone who helped us coordinate a wonderful event, which commemorated a special moment in our nation’s history.”

“This annual event with the Spady Museum is a unique opportunity to marry national history with local culture and collaborate with one of the non-profit organizations that make Delray Beach such a dynamic place to live and play,” said Cathy Balestriere, general manager of Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel & Tiki Bar.

The next THIRD THURSDAY FUN-RAISER at Crane’s BeachHouse Hotel will be the sixth annual PR YAK-YAK on September 20. Co-sponsored by the Gold Coast PR Council and PRSA-Palm Beach, this fun-filled party attracts numerous public relations and marketing professionals as well as local print, broadcast and online journalists.
