Marshall Foundation for the Everglades, which champions the restoration and preservation of the historic River of Grass ecosystem, today announced the addition of Fredda Butowsky and Toni Mastrullo to the nonprofit organization’s 25-person Advisory Council.

March 9th Walk to Stop Violence Against Women

Miami women’s activists are adding their voices to a national and international movement to stop violence against women and girls. The recently launched, Miami Chapter of the United States National Committee for United Nations Women, will host its first 5k walk to stop violence against women and girls on March 9, 2013 (March is Women’s History Month and March 8th is International Women’s Day). The walk will take place at 11 a.m. at the Women’s Park in Sweetwater, 10251 W. Flagler Street, Miami, FL 33174.
