New Affiliation Agreement in Salt Lake City Expands the Programming Block’s Reach
CNN Latino, the Spanish-language programming block custom-made for the U.S. Hispanic market, is expanding to Salt Lake City it was announced today by Cynthia Hudson, senior vice president and general manager of CNN en Español and Hispanic Strategy for CNN/U.S. With the addition of this new market to its existing presence in Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Tampa and Phoenix, CNN Latino programming will now be available in markets that represent about 30 % of U.S. Hispanic Households.

The exhibition opens April 20 and runs through May 18, in the Lawrence A. Sanders Foundation Gallery of the Cultural Council’s Headquarters, 601 Lake Avenue, in Lake Worth.

For the second time this season, the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County experienced a complete sell-out with 60 patrons and guests attending the finale in its exclusive luncheon lecture series, “It’s What You See” on March 25th. The intimate affair: Lunch with Paige Rense, Editor Emeritus of Architectural Digest, author, and founder of Bon Appetit, took place in the main gallery of the Cultural Council’s headquarters, surrounded by a back drop of artistic works and books that make up its current exhibition, Artist as Author, on display through May 18th.

The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County invites the public to enjoy an exclusive lecture and luncheon with Paige Rense, Editor Emeritus of Architectural Digest, author, and founder of Bon Appetit. This intimate gathering, the second in a two-part series entitled, “It’s What You See” will take place 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013, at the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County’s Headquarters, 601 Lake Avenue, in Lake Worth. The luncheon and program is generously underwritten by Irene and Jim Karp, Northern Trust, and an Anonymous donor.

Volunteer Opportunities Available for ArtiGras 2013
The 2013 ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival is looking for volunteers to help make the 28th edition of ArtiGras a most memorable one for both patrons and artists. Volunteer applications are being accepted online at http://www.artigras.org for the festival which runs over Presidents' Day Weekend, February 16-18, 2013.

The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County has received $40,000+ in grants from the PNC Foundation to strengthen the arts and cultural industry, through SmARTBiz 2012. Now in its second year, SmARTBiz is an educational and grants program developed through collaboration between PNC and the Cultural Council to demonstrate the value and impact of the cultural industry on the local economy.
