With all due respect, and with all apologies, I disagree completely with
this mentality. It is this mentality that has caused blatant errors in the
marketing of many products and service geared towards Hispanics, has
prevented the hiring of Hispanics, specialized agencies; prevented companies
from allocating dedicated budgets for this purpose, and has and is still
preventing many from understanding the Hispanic/Latino consumer correctly.
This is an extremely simplistic way of understanding the Hispanic/Latino
market at large.

Granted, his book may deal with a specific sector within the demographic
sector at large, but it seems to be very misleading.
